Little Ifra is just 3 years old, yet her life has been filled with pain instead of play. From the moment she was born, she has been battling Rhabdomyosarcoma — a rare and aggressive cancer. On top of this, she also suffers from Polio, making even the simplest movements a struggle.

Ifra lives in Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, with her parents and a sibling. Her father works as a daily-wage labourer, while her mother takes up housemaid work. Together they earn just enough to feed the family, but nowhere close to what is needed for cancer treatment. Despite their hardships, they are doing everything in their power to save their little girl.

Childhood for Ifra has meant chemotherapy, radiation therapy, endless hospital visits, and pain. She has never known the joy of running in the park or playing with friends. Yet when you look at her, she still tries to smile — a smile that hides the struggles her tiny body goes through every single day.

Her parents break down every time they talk about her. They have sold their belongings, borrowed money, and sacrificed their own needs — but now they stand helpless, unable to continue the treatment that could save her life.
